The Cowboy Steak Process

All of our Cowboy Steaks are cut from Canadian government inspected AA/AAA grade beef and go through a marinating process, they are cut approximately one inch thick and then portioned into single serving size, individually vacuum packaged and flash frozen. They are packed for retail sale in clear bags not boxes so you can see what you are buying. Each bag contains five pounds (2.27 kg) of Cowboy Steaks, approximately 8 steaks or are also available in a 10lbs. bag.

It’s a sure bet that every time Cowboy Steaks are lean, tender and tasty. They can be cooked rare, medium or well done and they don’t need to be seasoned. Best of all, Cowboy Steaks are reasonably priced, as much as half the price of a striploin steak. Cowboy Steaks usually retail for about $6.00 per pound / $13.23 per kilogram.

Cowboy Steaks are a marinated product and for best results the steaks should be defrosted completely before cooking , ideally left to thaw in refrigerator one or two days before they are to be cooked. Barbecuing produces the best results , broiling is not too bad , pan frying is not suggested but will do in a pinch. For best results, Cowboy Steaks should be kept no longer then about three months in a freezer, as they tend to lose their flavour.
